Frequently asked questions

The most common questions before starting a project.

How long does it take?

However long you take. There is no queue and no diary: the site takes shape as you write it and it goes live the moment you press publish. With the questions or a template you have something to look at in five minutes, getting it how you want it usually takes an afternoon, and what takes longest is gathering the words and the photos.

What does it cost to try?

Nothing. You build the whole site, look at it on a phone and on a desktop, show it to whoever you like and publish it without paying or giving a card: the entry plan is activated on its own when you publish. A fee appears when the site needs more than that plan includes.

How many sites can one fee publish?

As many as your plan includes: each plan says how many sites it supports and how far each one can go, and you can see it on the pricing page. Drafts take up no slot: ten fit per account, they cost nothing and they do not expire.

And if I end up not liking it?

You do not pay. The site stays saved in your account in case you come back, and you can ask us to delete it whenever you like.

Who owns the site?

The words, the photos and the data you put in are yours, and you change them whenever you like from the editor. The domain is in your name from day one, never in ours, whether you buy it yourself or order it from us. What you pay each month is having it published and served here: the site runs on our hosting and is not handed over as a file to move elsewhere. If you stop paying it stops being published, but nothing is deleted and it comes back exactly as it was as soon as you take out a plan again.

Can I change the words myself?

Yes. You get an editor where you change words, images, prices or opening hours with no code and no extra account. You see it as you change it and it goes live when you say so.

Does the shop really take payments?

Yes, by card and into your own Stripe account, which you link from your area in a few minutes. The money from every sale goes straight into it: it never passes through us, we are not the seller and we take no commission on sales. Stripe charges its own fees, published on its website. And if you would rather collect on delivery, that works too: the shop then records the order and asks for no card.

Do I need to have a domain and hosting already?

No. Hosting is part of the fee. If you already have a domain we use that one, and there are just two records to create: we give you the exact values and the instructions for your particular provider’s panel, and it checks itself once you have added them. If you do not have one yet, here you can check whether the name you want is free and then choose: buy it yourself at whichever registrar you prefer and connect it, or order it from us and we register it in your name, with the records already set. Either way you are the registrant from day one. If you order it from us, it renews on its own every year: we tell you the amount thirty days beforehand and you can cancel it from your area at no cost.

What happens if payment stops?

We let you know the same day the payment fails, again at 7 days and again at 15. If a month goes by without it being settled, the plan closes and your sites stop being published. None of them is deleted: they stay saved with their words and their editor, and they go back up exactly as they were as soon as you take out a plan again, paying as well for the time they were published without being charged for, which appears as a separate line before you pay. Your domain stays in your name, as it always has.

Is it WordPress?

No. Your site comes out as static pages, which is the fastest way there is to serve a site: it loads almost instantly and it has no plugins to go stale and let someone in. To change the words you have the editor, which is easier than WordPress.

Will it show up on Google?

Your site comes out with the technical side resolved: structure, speed, markup and structured data, which is the groundwork nothing else works without. Climbing the rankings also depends on writing content over time, and that you can do yourself from the editor, whenever you want and with no limit on changes.

Is there a minimum term?

No. You cancel whenever you like and billing stops at the end of the period you have already paid for, with no penalty. And you have fourteen days from signing up to change your mind: the plan stops right away and you get the full amount back. After those days there is still a refund for as long as you have not published a site with that plan.

Shall we build it?

You build it here, you see it as you go, and you publish it without paying: the entry plan is free.
